Thats right folks we have a western loop cruise that includes going to Luray Caverns that is being set up with MCOM and Maryland Patriots. For those who have been to the caverns you know how amazing it is, for those who haven't it is well...AMAZING(sorry couldn't resist) (

What : Club Car Cruise Invitational
Who: You me the club other clubs anyone's family or friends as long as their dressed!
When : Saturday July 6th, 2013 (Times tbd but we are looking at approx a 645 am meet up at Expo and a 745am meet up at Warrrenton) .
Where : Meet up spots are the Chantilly Expo Center as well as in Warrenton at the Huntsman Towne Shopping Center. There is a WaWa close by for gas up which is advisable.
Route : We will be driving some very scenic roads with quite a few curves as we hit the mountains. Current plan is 211-West from Warrenton to Luray Caverns. Following 3-4 hours at Luray Caverns( The Caves the maze the museums.) We would be driving a bit further onward to the town of Elkton for lunch at Ciro's Italian(
http://www.cirositalianeatery.com/) for lunch. The route there is absolutely stunning. Nice country roads with mountain ranges on left and right. Following lunch you will be in position to take Route 33 back across the mountains towards NoVa. for another scenic road that you haven't touched that day.)
Distances to note : From Warrenton to Luray is under 100 miles. From Luray to Elkton approx 30 miles. From Elton(Lunch) approx 80 Miles back to Expo.
We will be filling this out with more information over the next week or two so please keep updated. There is a thread that will start in the Mustang Cafe for banter on this cruise or discussions. Please try to keep this thread clear and clean so we can use it for organization.
Please note that ticket prices are 24.00 for adults and 12.00 for 6-12 unless we get a group of 20 on this where there is a SIGNIFICANT reduction to 15.50 for adults and 7.50 for kids(ages 6-12). The maze which is a large garden maze is an additional 4.50 on group rate making it 20 even.
There is ALOT of walking in the caverns so please be aware of that.

Luray Caverns is not listed as handicapped accessible. There are three sections of steps, totaling about 70 steps, to go down into Luray Caverns. There is a chairlift for manual wheelchair users. However, the paved walkways on the tour are 1.25 miles in length with some areas having steep grades that may require wheelchair assistance by one or more persons. Since the need for assistance is necessary, Luray Caverns is not listed as handicapped accessible.
