Hello All- I have a 2006 Mustang GT with 13,000 miles on it. A couple of days ago, I started hearing a loud metallic "click" sound coming from the right front wheel when I would apply the brakes and come to a stop. It's not the brake pad wear indicator since I can look at the pad and there's plenty left and I'm very easy on my brakes. Anyone have a similar problem? It makes this "click" sound only once and just as the car is coming to a stop but does it every time I come to a stop. I have an appointment with Norris Ford in Dundalk for Mon. Oct.2 to have it checked out.

Yeah take it to the dealer use that warranty. I just had all my front bushings replaced after 24k miles free of charge from the dealer. So now is the time to get it done. Just make sure they find something the first time. If they say it is nothing drive off the lot and go right back in and tell them you still hear it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wanted to bring the car in and wait with it while they checked it out but the service dept. manager said that I should drop it off early in the morning and leave it all day so they could diagnose the problem. I hope it's only something like the calipers needing grease, we'll see on Monday.

I would guess the pad is just a bit lose in the caliper. Not a big deal bud.

Well, like most mechanical problems with cars, my "clicking" noise in the right front brake has disapeared. I've driven the car for the past 2 days on roads with many traffic signals to do a lot of stop and go driving to listen for the noise and haven't heard it at all. I'm going to cancel my appointment with Norris Ford and not waste my time with a problem that's gone away.
