The Barton shifter, Bama tune, and K&N air filter were installed yesterday.

Barton shifter - The shifts are very short!! Very notchy (not a bad thing). At first the shifter was extremely stiff and took many tries in attempting to engage reverse. Drove about 100 miles today and the stiffness has noticeably improved. Engaging reverse still is a PITA. I am sure the stiffness issue will continue to improve. For me, this was a very worthwhile upgrade.

Bama tune - running the 87 octane performance tune (will try the street tune next week). Noticeable improvement with throttle response. Certainly feels much quicker. Much more usable 5th gear - pulls from lower RPMs without engine "lugging". Didn't hit a highway at all today so I can't comment on 6th gear.

K&N air filter - Hard to say if the filer had any appreciable affect because it was installed at the same time as the Bama tune.

After 1 day I'm pleased with the results.

Today I ordered a "flip" key. It was a toss up between the supercharger and the flip key

Did the flip key work? I need a spare key. All I have is a red track key as a spare but it puts the car in track mode. Not to good in traffic.

Your post was at 3am!! You gotta get some rest.

The key hasn't arrived yet. The seller, and the key, got great reviews on various other Mustang forums. Total cost was about $47 dollars. When I get it I'll report it here and I'll also PM you.

BTW - My new 3.55 gears are supposed to be delivered today.

I think the forum clock is off by an hour. I hope you new ring and pinion work for you. I had them changed in my pick up years ago from 3.55 to 4.10 so it would stop down shifting on hilly highway. MPG improved too. I don't think yours will though.
