Post subject:  Got a miss, can't figure it out

Guys, I need some help. I have a 98 GT. Purchased in July with 35,700 on the odometer. 1st day I had it, I changed plugs, air filter and oil. I now have a miss that is getting annoying. I have replaced wires, coils and fuel filter. I've used in tank fuel injection cleaner in 3 full tanks of gas. No check engine light, throwing no trouble codes. What am I missing? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. It's been going on 2 weeks now with this problem. Car doesn't try to stall or anything crazy like that, but it is getting frustrating. Thanks.

Did the miss start after you replaced the plugs and wires?

did plugs in July. miss started about two weeks ago. Did coils and wires after the miss started. Fuel filter was after the miss started as well. Thanks for responding, I'm starting to run outta ideas.

Does it feel like a dead miss or does it feel more random? Are you running a k&n air filter?
double / tripple check your wires and make sure you have them in the right coil just for kicks.

my initial thinking was, since the previous owner only averaged 1700 miles a year on it for 8yrs, maybe now with it being a daily driver, I was stiring up junk from the bottom of the tank, causing the filter to clog, hence the new filter and the injector cleaner. I'm starting to wonder now if it might be a bad injector. I even thought maybe bad gas somewhere, so I switched stations. that didn't help. Of course, I very rarely let the tank get below 1/4 tank. I use about 1/2 to 3/4 a week back and forth to work and side trips here and there. Family loves to cruise in it on weekends!! When I'm not playing ball somewhere!! LOL!

More or less random. Wires are on correct coils, checked and double checked for tightness. Right now, I have stock air box. Starting more mod's after Christmas rush.

Well. this sucks. MAF didn't solve my miss problem. To much moisture and cold air to fool with it today. Gonna quadruple check my wires and coils to make sure they're where they belong. After that, I'm still at a loss. Could it be the Idle Air? My 86 Idle Air caused my idle to run high, not miss, but just wondering. Another thought I had was the TPS. After that, back to thinking it's an injector.

I had planned to till i was informed I'm needed to work that day. I was looking foward to coming out, and not just because of the problem with my car. I did an IAC on it yesterday, now it seems to just do it in the morning when its still a little cold, and mostly in third gear when I'm driving.
