Autocross in Frederick, MD

There's going to be a Capital Driving Club autocross in Frederick, MD on May 3-4. May 3 is a "regular" autocross, and May 4 is a Test & Tune. I think it would be pretty cool if we had some Mustangs come out on the Saturday.

The cost is $40, which will get you a minimum of 6 runs. If you join the club (which costs $30 for a year), the cost is only $30 per event. So if you're planning on going to 3 or more autocrosses with Capital Driving Club this year, the club membership pays for itself.

Registration is currently open for club members and "guests" of club members. Open registration starts on Friday 25 April. If you're interested in going, you can sign up as a guest of me (Vince, number 750).

First official, did the auto cross class down at Mustangweek last year but just have never made it to any since then. Done a few track days but thought this would be fun as well.

Hopefully will not kill too many cones.

Vince thanks for all the help and pointers today.

Everybody should try Autocross at least once. It will really help develop your car control skills, very low risk of damage, and a helluva lotta fun!

I will admit I was worried about getting lost in a sea of cones, and I did miss a gate or two and killed a few cones, but after riding with Vince for a few laps and running a few, i picked up the course.

Everyone at the event was more than friendly and things ran very smoothly.

Joined the Club and looking forward to more events.
