i know that in 93 ford installed hyperotnic (sp*) pistons in the 5.0 motors... there is no reason to believe they installed anything but these in the 5.0 engines that followed... including the cobra motors. IIRC of course... |

Stock '95 Cobra has hypereutectic (more than 12% silicon alloy) cast pistons. Very strong for cast pistons. Known to tolerate 8psi of boost on a regular basis. |
