| Post subject: | NE Shelby 50 Celebration/'12 Ford Carlisle Event-Who's Goin? |
As some of you know this year's Carlisle Ford event is June 1-3, 2012. The featured Ford marque will be the Shelby. I will be making the trip with Team Shelby's NE Division. In talking with other members I have heard of others going to the event. Please post if your are going and when maybe we can be on the outlook for each other. I will be there Friday afternoon thru sometime Sunday and will be parked in the Showfield Area B. Jim

This years Ford Nationals at Carlisle should be a really special event Jim. With the 50th anniversary of the Cobra and the recent passing of Carroll Shelby, I'm sure that Carlisle and Ford will have something special planned to commemorate their contributions to the auto world. For the first time since 2004, I will not be attending this years Carlisle event due to my back issues. I'm hoping that the surgery I will be having in July will enable me to fully particpate next year. Last night the Velocity Channel ran a three hour special on the life and times of Carroll Shelby. In the second episode they showed your Shelby Mustang, white with the gray stripes, in a segment featuring the new look Shelby Mustangs that came out after 2005! I'll be there in the showfield as well. My sticker shows a red box with number R139, but the numbers don't go that high on the map on the website for row R, so I really don't know where that might be. Glenn |
