I'd like peoples experiences and thoughts please. I have posted this on other boards and gotten feedback and wanted others opinions as well. I am a novice

I use my car as a daily drive and drive aout 76 miles (r/t) to and from my office. I have budgeted $2K.

Goal -more power at the low and mid range. A faster street machine for sure (naturally aspirated). Something more that gives me a push back in my seat around town and highway when I decide to "hit it". Mind you my car is an 5sp AUTO. I don't plan on using the car at the track. I have a custom tuner shop I plan on using. Thoughts -

1. CAI - C&L, JLT, or Steeda with XCAL 3 (
2. BBK Underdrive Pulley
3. Ford Racing 3.73 or 4.10 gears (there seems to be some debate about 4.10 for daily use) Anyone with real world daily experiences with the auto tranny use them?

I dont want to buy the 3.73's and then kick myself for not buying the 4.10's.

Other folks have recommended Aluminum driveshafts and have heard about the pro's being lighter but having some issues. I can start with the first three and always do the driveshafts at a later date, any other recommendation? Supercharging or NOS isnt something I would consider at this point.

For "seat of the pants" performance upgrade, you can't beat the gears. I don't have a lot of experience, but have been researching the matter as I hope to do gears soon myself. I plan on going with the 3:73's. I want to keep my stang a comfortable highway cruiser that still gets reasonable gas mileage. Plus my exhaust is fairly loud and I think 300-400 more RPM at highway speed would make a significant noise difference (vs 100-200RPM WITH 3:73's).

If you have trouble deciding, you can compromise and get 3:90's. Good luck & feel free to ask any other questions....Oh, and welcome to the site!

I have decided to go with:

4.10's
JLT with the XCAL custom tuned
Steed underdrive pulleys

I hop to have them done next Friday the 11th.

Thanks for the opinions, I will not be doing the driveshaft.
