PostPosted: Sun Oct 30, 2011 11:54 am
Hey All,
I have a 93 Cobra, [Original Owner no less] with about 80,000 miles. It is stock other than exhaust, and the seat upholstry is getting a little tired, esp. the drivers seat. They are the gray with leather inserts. I spoke with a local upholstry shop who wanted over $1000 each to redo the front seats. The rear seat is fine as it's probably never been sat on.
He actually suggested "ready made" from someone specializng in replacement parts. I'm open as to price but $1000 each seemed a little pricey.
I've looked at a few sites and found upholstry, but ad indicates the color may not match OEM color.
Has anyone had good luck or experience with any manuf. of OEM style upholstry?
thanks,
rj

Call Matt at Foxresto.com. He can help. The best manufacturer of replacement interiors is TMI, which Foxresto sells. He will send you a sample. The aftermarket leather will be close on color but not exact and the grain of the leather will be a little more pronounced than factory which is mostly smooth. You also should replace your seat foams while you are at it. Good luck!
