Hey guys,

I have a 1965 Coupe with a 289 and im looking to put in a 302 that I picked up. What I am looking to do is freshen up the 302 and drop it in, so I was wondering if any of you local guys would like to help out? I have never taken on something this big or do you guys think I should just take it to a shop?

where in md are you and do you have the tools to do a rebuild?

I am located in Damascus MD I have everything but a torques wrench and im going to try and get a eng. stand this week.

you're not to far away from me, I am just north west of rt 27 and 26.
When are you looking at attacking this? I have an engine stand and torque wrench (ratchet).

ASAP...lol right now I have 3 weeks until my new job starts, so I was trying to get it back on the road in that time frame.

I got alot of it taken apart today, im going to order a new water pump, thermo, plugs, and wires tonight. Anything else you guys think I should replace while im in there?

New water pump, thermostat, and APR bolt kit will be here tomorrow.

I normally golf on sundays and try to work during the week.
But I do have some free time and since I don't have all the pieces for my 72 yet....why not
