My Stang is getting close to 90,000 miles, so I started thinking about getting the 90,000 mile maintainence done. The question I have is what is on the list of things to do & replace at this milestone? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Corey did you check your owners manual to see what they recommend to do . thay are usually pretty accurate what to do. there are no wheel bearing to worry about up front. i'm looking at mine and they say to change your oil. inspect your drive belts, replace your air filter, inspect your coolent system, hoses clamps and coolent strenght. adjust your clutch pedal by lifting it toward you. inspect exhaust, front and rerar brakes. that is all mine says.

Some people are like Slinkys. They have no purpose, but they sure bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

It's been over a year since this post was listed but I thought you might be interested in what I did to the 2002 Mustang I recently purchased.

Not knowing what the previous owners did as far as maintenance I decided that with 75,000 miles on the car I would do a lot of preventive maintenance.

I had a BG service done to the automatic transmission and cooling system. The engine oil was changed and a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer was added.

The engine got a complete tune up with new spark plugs and wires and a throttle body cleaning. All belts and filters were inspected and changed as needed.

The brake system was flushed and refilled with fresh brake fluid and the rear differential was serviced with new synthetic gear oil.

The bottom line is that now I have a baseline for all mechanical service work and can just do my normal maintenance from now on.

I also did a preliminary detailing of the car but plan to clay bar the car and polish it with super quality New Genesis car polish. I have been using their products since 2004 when I saw them demonstrated at Carlisle. I applied the polish to a brand new Dodge with black paint in the direct hot sun. I came back an hour later and easily wiped it off with a microfiber cloth.
I was sold! This polish will hold up for a year but I polish my cars 3-4 times a year and use their quick spray wax in between waxing for a great looking car all year long.
