Does anyone know the best way to remove Pine Sap from the painted areas of the car.
Seems to have hit different areas after that nasty storm a few weeks ago.

turpentine or some other petrolium based type. Wash and polish and it should look like it was never on your car. Or you can go to the parts store and they have bug and tar remover.

good luck on that.

If your car has a good wax base then try Griots Garage Speed Shine. I got some sap on my car from the picnic event and the speed shine took it right off with just a wipe of the towel. Hope this helps.

You want to use the least damaging product you can to remove the pine tar Errol. Like Jim suggested, the Griot's Speed Shine or some other quick detailer like Mothers or Meguires would also work.

If the pine tar has been affected by the heat and melted into your paint than a good bug and tar removal product might be needed. I would be very careful about using turpentine or any other solvents on your paint.

After you do remove the pine tar you'll want to apply some polish and than wax over the affected areas.
