The poor girl's transmission is leaking like crazy. I had the chance to put her on a lift and get a good look at it. Pretty much leaking from every seal. The fluid has totally melted the rubber transmission mount. So I want to yank it out and either have it rebuilt or rebuild it myself.

Any advice or tricks on pulling one out...any one want to come and help pull the tranny out? I have one buddy that will help, I would just like to have someone that has done it before guide me. She's got a 302 with a C-4. I've never done anything this extensive before. I know it can't be that hard but I'm sure there are some tricks that could make it go easier.

The work would take place in my garage...no lift. Thanks in advance.

alot of sawdust works great for leaks. lol. jk. i wish a had the time to help. i did pull a auto trans on the street when i lived in Bel Air and i remember had to lift the rear real high to get it out. good luck. i need a clutch in mine. doing the u joints also. while i have the driveshaft out.

Well it isn't happening anytime soon. My weekends are booked for sometime now. I'll keep everyone updated...whenever I get started.
