Mike you did a great job, in preparing for the Caoctin Mountain Cruise this Sunday. Linda and I enjoyed the ride. And Bob thanks for having all that great food.

Perhaps but doing it for 5 years gets my respect. I had one hectic year doing it and that was plenty.

I agree it is a difficult job to handle, especially one that pays nothing! 5 years straight deserves applause!

Being on club staff (NVMC) is difficult enough, being a club president isn't as easy as it may appear, but Bob makes it look that way.

He really deserves to be appreciated for all he does! I just enjoy giving him a hard time :btu:

Thanks for all the support and for the turnout. It sounds like everyone had a great time. I know I did. Special thanks to James for cooking the food. All that driving sure makes people hungry!

Everyone involved with the cruise did a great job James. The planning of the route, the preparation of the route sheets, the promotion of the event and all of the behind the scenes work that went on to make this such a successful event for us.

While Bob might not have been along on the cruise he was out shopping for the groceries for the picnic at the end of the cruise. Unless you are an officer or someone very active in the club you have no idea of the work that Bob & Heather Thompson have put into this club in the last 5 or so years. A lot of that work goes unnoticed by the average club member who just shows up for an event.

Another unsung hero is James Heller who does so much for the club and doesn't seek recognition. But your efforts on behalf of the club have not been unnoticed James. It is the unselfish effort of people like James that make this club so special.

Mike did an outstanding job of organizing and leading the Catoctin Mountain Cruise on October 19th. Our group met and left from the Pizza Hut in Mt. Airy, MD. My friend Diana Ludwig did an awesome job of taking photos and documenting the cruise. She also posted some of her great photos onto this thread for everyone to enjoy. I'm going to make Diana my new assistant photography protégé for the club to help us record our meetings and events.

Here are the pictures that I took starting at the Pizza Hut and along the way including the club picnic at the end.

I hope that those who attended enjoy reliving this great day and for those who could not go along with us this time will think about joining us next year!

I'm posting these photos in the order that they were taken during the cruise. The first set showed the cars that met up at the Pizza Hut in Mt. Airy, MD. These next photos show where we met up in Frederick, MD with other cruisers to begin our 60 mile Catoctin Mountain Cruise.
