The NVMC has selected and confirmed the date with the track, so now we just need participants.

For those of you that have joined us in the past, this event needs no introduction! For those that haven't been before, this is an event you don't want to miss!

The NVMC rents Mason-Dixon Dragway for 4 hours, and is a great opportunity to discover the capabilities of your car in a legal setting. This rental also allows you to better your launch, 60' times, and overall 1/4 mile speed and ET.

Perfect opportunity for the experienced and inexperienced racers, as plenty of people around to help and answer any questions about drag racing. Like last year there will be a dedicated lane for slicks/drag radials, and the other lane for street tires.

Also a great opportunity for redemption against other club members that did better then you last time at the track.

We need 40 pre-paid registrants in order for this rental to happen, also saves you money to pay in advance.

Everyone,

Time to start promoting the NVMC Drag Day #1

Where: Mason Dixon Dragway - 1/4 Mile NHRA Division 1 Facility
When: 12 April 2014
Time: 8am-12noon


Price: $50.00 Pre-Paid (Cash @ Club Function i.e.; Meeting, Show, Cruise etc.)
$52.00 Pay Pal (to Enforcir@gmail.com) Please put a note in the Pay Pal Message.
$75.00 price at the gate, day of the event.


Special Instructions:
-We need 40 Pre-Paid by 31 March 2014 or this event will not happen!
- Proper Attire Mandatory (Long Pants, Boot, Lace up Shoes, 1/4 length Sleeved Shirts (no tank tops).
- Must adhere to 10mph Speed Limit on facility when NOT on track.


Meeting Location (Cruise) & Time: 04:30 am at the Dulles Expo Center on the day of the event. We will cruise up to the Sheets, usually arrive at between 06:15-06:30 am. Bathroom Breaks, Refreshments, food. The to the Main Gate at 07:00 am, line up at the gate and:


1. Check In (Pay or check payment status if pre-paid)
2. Sign Liability Waiver
3. Issued participant wrist band
4. Issued participant registration card, large portion is to be filled out and brought back to Ceece at the registration table.
5. from there you find a place to set up in the grass and listed for the announcements from the tower.


Remember, if we do not get 40 people signed up and prepaid by March 31, this even will not happen so get those pre-payments in ASAP!

Bummer we will miss this one too. But for a good reason, my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Taking our 'Stang to Michigan that weekend.

Hopefully we can attend the one in the fall if there is one!

What mods have you made since the last time at the track?
The stripe kit did not help your ETs.

This is my personal best timeslip, still beats Bob's personal best. He has the nerve to say there must have been a tailwind that day. I'm hoping with a clean airfilter, 18" wheels/tires, and Tune to beat the pants off these times and leave Bob in tears.

Oh please.... you beat me by .04sec with your best run. You've made at least 50 total more runs than I have in my car. That was the first time I raced it. Besides, my clutch was defective and the pedal would go to the floor at high rpm`s so I couldnt even wind it out. And you calling dirty air filter... BS... Just saying....
