The Parade is on Sunday March 10, 2012 and starts at 2:00 p.m. at the Washington Monument, and continues to Pratt Street and Market Place. Like last year, we can meet at the northside of the Merritt Athletic Club. (approx at 277 East Monument St, Baltimore, MD) Please be there no later than 11:45 am.

Parade Lineup begins no earlier than 12:00 pm and no later than 1:00 pm. We will leave our MAC meeting spot at 12 pm. and Mach1Don will lead the group to the parade lineup at the Washington Monument.

We need two groups of cars. One group of convertibles for the VIPs to ride in and another group to represent the club. The day of the parade the Parade Committee will tell me where they want both groups to lineup.

Direction to MAC:
Take 83 South to exit 4, which is St. Paul Street
Turn Left on East Biddle Street
Turn Right on Guilford Ave
After crossing E. Madison Street, you will see a red building on your right. The parking lot is at the end of this building at the intersection of Guilford and E. Monument Street.

Directions from MAC to Lineup:
From there (the whole club) will take E. Monument west and make a right onto North Calvert Street and then a left on E. Madison Street. From there we will make a left onto N. Cathedral and then a left on to West Mt Vernon Place. (Mt. Vernon Place- Washington Monument).

Another favorite of mine--We'll be there with 2--the '10 vert and the Mach 1

Did I ever tell you that a cop along the route at this parade came up to my car and said he had to comandeer my car?

I relied "Whaaaa....."

Cop"There has been a robbery and we need your car to chase the bad guys"

Me"Sure hop in, I'll drive"

The Weather Man is calling for a high around 55 and little chance of rain. It looks like nice Parade weather.

For those of you who have never been in this parade or any parade sponsored by MCOM you're missing a really fun event.
There is a lot of time to get organized, do some last minute detailing and socialize with other club members, all of which makes for a fun day.

The parade itself is kind of neat as you leisurely cruise the parade route as the parade watchers envy your Mustangs! You get a lot of high fives and compliments about your cars and seeing the parade from the drivers perspective is pretty special.

Its so much easier for the club if we have a nice turnout as it gives us a chance to show off our cars and gain some positive publicity for the club.

They called me today and let me know that they need four or five convertibles for pageant queens and dignitaries. I think we're a little short. If you were on the fence anout attending, now is a good time to sign up. It looks like we have 12 slots in our line up and about 5 convertible cars for VIP rides.

This just in.
Can someone give a ride to: MISS UNITED STATES ALL WORLD BEAUTIES 2012, JACKIE WALTERS

She is one of the four that needs a convertible ride.
Any volunteers for this tough assignment?

Oh I could definitely cut the roof off in time. But I think it looks better the way it is now.
