Kudos to Steve and Dave
Good job putting together the Power Point presentation dialogue that was prepared by Steve.
About 10 Stangs braved the rain and turned out to support Steve and Dave.

Have to agree that Steve and Dave did a great job. There were about 50 people in the audience. As Di and I walked around the room either taking photos or checking the video progress it looked to us that everyone was paying close attention to the presentation. Its a shame the downpours wouldnt let us display our ponies in front of the Library and Im sure more cars would have been in attendance if the weather had been better. I was thinking it would be great to hold the event again (if Steve and Dave are accepting of the idea) north of Baltimore in Harford or Baltimore county as another part of the MCOM celebration of the Mustang 50th anniversary. Just a thought.

Those videos were cool and it was from a different time. I liked how you both gave enough information and yet kept it open to everyone as to the understanding and not to detailed. I'd liked it more had you been in the weeds but I could assure a lot of glazed eyeballs had that happened.

Thanks everyone for your kind remarks about the 50th Anniversary Presentation that Dave & I gave at the Bowie Library! :btu:

It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun. Now that we have this presentation preserved in a CD, thanks to Bruce and Diane Wheeler, we can share this on our UTube Chanel.

Doug Adolphsen sent me a very nice email thanking me and Dave for the presentation and invited us back again next April 11th to do another presentation on Carroll Shelby and the 50th Anniversary of the Shelby Mustangs.

The weather was obviously a big disappointment as it kept a lot of people away from the presentation and from bringing their cars to the event. Hopefully, next April the weather will be more cooperative!

This is going to be an exciting program on the life and times of Carroll Shelby and his historic influence on the Ford Mustang. Ford was always looking for a sports car to directly compete against the Chevrolet Corvette and with the help of racing legend Carroll Shelby Ford was finally able to do so with the creation of the Shelby Mustang GT 350 and later the Shelby GT 500.

We will also be holding a rally after the program on the parking lot of the library so were looking for a lot of people to bring out their Mustangs to the program! :banana2:

According to all of the weather reports I have been following, Saturday looks to be a mild, sunny day! Temps vary in the forecasts from 68 degrees to 71 degrees but either way that is perfect weather for a post presentation Mustang Rally at the Prince Georges Public Library on Saturday, April 11th! :btu:

Dave Seibert and I have put together an exciting and fun program as we honor the life and times of Carroll Shelby and the 50th Anniversary of the Shelby GT 350 Mustang.

Lets have a great turnout for this event which will get us all in the spirit for the upcoming car show season! :banana:

Unfortunately I won't be able to make this event. My Brother In law came in from Australia and is staying with me.
Maybe next time.

The Program at the Bowie Public Library went very well. Unfortunately we didn't have much of a turnout from the club. We did have a competing program with the drag race day in Hagerstown in which 40 people or so attended. I had also hoped that we might be able to tap into a weekend where the Red Mustang Registry Club was in town for a car show the next day in Westminster, MD. However, one of the members organized a cruise to Gettysburg so that ended their participation. The weather was very nice so I'm sure that also played a part in hurting our attendance.

As far as the program goes it went very well. Hats off to Dave Seibert for once again doing an excellent job of creating the Power Point Presentation. Following the program several of our members did park their cars together so that those in attendance could see the Mustangs up close and personal.

The good news is that like our 50 years of the Mustang, we have this program available to present at any future time.
