For a while there have been auctions on Ebay for the GT500 style pedal pads that are suppose to be early take offs and should fit 2005-1009 S197s. The auctions are Buy Now for about $30. The brake and clutch pedals are the same slip on as the stock pads and the aftermarket pads. However, the accelerator pedal is not a flat tape on overlay like you can buy from AM and other Mustang Vendors. It looks like a full pedal unit complete with a bolt mount (see second auction pic). It even has what looks like Ford part numbers on the back of it. When looking at the accelerator pedal on the Ghost it is a one piece pedal, arm and pivot assembly. Based on Ford parts diagrams all S197s whether 4.0 or 4.6 have a one piece accelerator assembly. It has me curious. Any ideas or thoughts on this?

James, Is your accelerator pedal and arm all one unit or is the pedal a separate unit like the one in the pic? |

Caution: I bought a set of genuine GT500 Pedal covers. I added an after market dead pedal that looked correct but it turned out to have HARD black plastic inserts not the rubber ones that are OE. |
