I'm a bit discouraged. This is the third time I pulled the motor this summer. I'm looking for someone to turn a wrench and lend a hand as I pull it again this weekend. The good news is it is inside a garage with AC.

I am hoping to pull the motor, find a piece of the dip stick in the oil pan, and drop the motor back in.

I am in Perry Hall by White Marsh Mall.

Obviously Dave I'm not in a position to physically help pull an engine out of a car but I'm confused about the reason for pulling the engine. It sounds like a piece of the dipstick broke off and fell into the oil pan? If that is the case than why not just drop the oil pan and search for the broken part? :confused2:

I don't think the pan can be removed with the motor in the car. Even if I raise the motor to the point that the transmission is hitting the tunnel. The oil pan drops down on both sides of the K-member.

The motror came out. I found the last piece of dip stick and the motor is back in the car. I did fire up the motor. Sunday I will adjust the clutch, timing and whatever is a little off, but the hard part should be done now.

That's great Dave! :btu:

It was still a project to do all of that and I'm impressed that you got it done so fast! Of course having a great garage with all of the lifts and tools necessary to do this job helps a lot. :thumbsup2:

Where did you find it? Was it in the bottom of the oil pan?

Dave sorry that I did not see your post on Friday. This weekend I went over to my folks place in Delaware and just came back last night. I am glad that you have found all of the missing pieces. It is good to hear that you will have the car back on the road soon. Hopefully this time you will have much better results.
