What does paying an extra $6,995 for Rapid Spec 501A, the Laguna Seca package add to the Boss 302? They list for $48,000+ (a little more than a GT500) but are up for sale for $100,000 at L/B. Based on the low production number of the Boss 302's it doesn't surprise me that some dealers will take advantage of this situation to mark up the price of the car. As long as there are people willing to pay substantially over MSRP for these limited edition cars you can expect the dealers who are able to obtain these cars to charge whatever the market will bear. The $6,995 Luguna Seca Package is another high dollar profit item but one that a select group of people are more than willing to pay. The dealers love those low production cars because they can use their relative scarcity to sell the cars for nearly double it's original retail price. I was reading somewhere that the Boss has a restricter plate inside the exhaust that is easily removable for a much added exhaust note. Very cool feature! |

I think that plate blocks off the exhaust making it go to the back. |
