NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series
(RFC ) Antron Brown, (RFC ) Johnny Gray, Greg Anderson and LE Tonglet were the pro class winners Sunday.
In Top Fuel, Brown won for the fourth time this season. He ran 3.844 seconds, 319.22 mph to best teammate Tony Schumacher's tire-smoking 5.806, 123.81 mph. Del Worsham is 136 points clear of Brown.
In Funny Car, Gray won his first pro national event. His Dodge Charger went 4.113, 307.02 mph to beat teammate Ron Capps' 4.134, 307.37mph in a Charger. (RFC ) Mike Neff is 141 points ahead of (RFC ) Robert Hight. Jack Beckman qualified ninth in the Valvoline/Aaron's Dodge Charger and lost in the first round.
In Pro Stock, Anderson's GXP won for the fourth time this year. He clocked 6.599, 209.26 mph to (RFC ) Erica Enders' 6.614, 208.10 mph in a Chevrolet Cobalt. Anderson tops (RFC ) Jason Line by 30 points. (RFC ) Ron Krisher qualified ninth in the Valvoline GXP and lost in the first round.
In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Tonglet's Suzuki had a 6.954, 191.27 mph pass vs. (RFC ) Hector Arana Jr.'s 6.961, 193.43 mph on a Buell. Eddie Krawiec is 51 points ahead of (RFC ) Karen Stoffer.
