that is truly a tragedy for the area, i used to work as a paramedic in Volusa county and a bunch of friends worked for them

Crane is the supplier of the infamous Ford Motorsports cams, B303, E303, F303, you get the picture. Been around a long time, wonder if someone will buy them out?

yup, they all share a parent company.

found out today they're filling ch11, restructuring; not ch13.

So, they'll still be around, they're just trimming their operations.

LIQUIDATION OF CRANE CAMS ANNOUNCED
After noting yesterday that the Daytona Beach, Fla. News-Journal reported that Scorpion Performance, Inc. has been negotiating to buy Crane Cams and is holding a job fair for former Crane employees, today we see that Crane’s assets are for sale.
LiquiTec Industries, Inc. has been engaged to liquidate the assets of Crane Cams, Inc., one of the world's largest independent manufacturers of camshafts, valve train components and electrical ignition systems for the performance industry.

The sale includes all machinery; all raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods including over $2 million of high performance and racing application engine components including camshafts, rocker arms, lifters and other parts for most GM, Ford and Mopar engines; 16 patents and three patents.
LiquiTec is accepting bids now for inventory, trademarks and patents. An auction sale of all remaining inventory and machinery will take place on Wednesday, April 22, at the company's former headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida.
